Cracked steel beam forces Salesforce Transit Center to close

After finding a fissure in a load-bearing beam at the newly debuted, $2B San Francisco transit hub, the Transbay Joint Powers Authority closed the facility on Tuesday until it can repair the support system and inspect all others.
